What exactly is counseling or therapy?
Counseling or therapy is a relationship between an individual and a counselor developed to help an individual, couple, or family better understand their issues and solve a problem in an atmosphere of trust and privacy.
How does counseling works?
From a crisis to a loss, major life changes, to improving relationships - people seek counseling for many different reasons. Counseling begins the initial session by gathering information and history to develop a plan which meets each individual’s or family’s needs. There are different types of counseling sessions. These may include individual, group, or family sessions.
How long does it take?
Each session typically lasts anywhere from 45 to 50 minutes. Your therapist will establish a regular schedule based on your specific needs. This may vary from client to client, depending on their requirements.
Is family therapy right for us?
Relationships do not have to be constant power struggles. With assistance and effort, you can release old patterns and transition into positive relations that increase motivation and healing.
What happens in therapy?
The first session is always an introductory session, where your therapist gets to know you and your concerns or issues. Your therapist will take your history, previous diagnosis and ongoing diagnosis (if any) and answer your questions.

We will then collaborate on your therapy goals and create a treatment plan together.
